terms of service

1. introduction

these terms & conditions ("terms") govern your use of the mealtickt mobile application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "service"), which are operated by polytropic ltd, a company incorporated in cyprus (reg. no. HE469607, registered office at ioanni kondylaki 9a, agia zoni, limassol, 3026, cyprus) ("mealtickt", "we", "us", or "our"). by downloading, installing, registering an account, or otherwise accessing or using the service, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. if you do not agree, you must not use the service.

we may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, business operations, or applicable laws. where revisions are material, we will notify you in advance, for example via in-app notification or by email. your continued use of the service following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. eligibility

the service is designed for and may only be used by individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. we do not knowingly collect or process personal data of individuals under this age threshold. in line with our privacy policy, if we become aware that information relating to a minor has been provided to us, we will take steps to delete such data without delay.

by creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have full legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. accounts and security

to access most features of the service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information and promptly updating any changes. you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential and for all activity conducted under your account. you agree not to share your account or credentials with any third party and to notify us promptly at support@mealtickt.com if you suspect unauthorised access or any other security incident.

we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably suspect misuse, fraudulent activity, or any violation of these terms, or where continued provision of the service is no longer commercially viable.

4. services, subscriptions, payments and free trials

mealtickt offers a free tier and a premium tier. the free tier provides access to core functionality and generates a tailor-made meal plan using our proprietary rule-based (non-ai) algorithm. there are no pre-set meal plans - each plan is programmatically tailored from your inputs.

the premium tier adds optional ai-powered features (e.g., adaptive plan adjustments, ai chat/coach, ai recipe swaps) in addition to the non-ai core plan. the free tier includes basic diet-generation and displays ads. the premium tier is ad-free and includes unlimited recipe swaps, ai-powered diet plan generation and adjustment, and interactive ai chat/coach with diet and profile context.

premium subscriptions are billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly, according to the plan you select. subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. you can cancel your subscription at any time. if you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access until the end of the paid period. payments are processed through third-party providers such as the apple app store or google play store.

except where required by law or the relevant app-store policy, subscription fees are non-refundable. if a payment method is declined or you fail to pay, we may suspend access to premium features until payment is resolved.

5. acceptable use and moderation

you agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. you must not upload, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, harmful, invasive of privacy, or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of others. you must not interfere with the operation of the service; attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network; circumvent or disable security or access-control measures; harvest data from other users; or reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise misuse the service or its ai-powered features.

we may monitor use of the service for safety, security, and compliance. we reserve the right to investigate violations of these terms and to take any action we reasonably deem appropriate, including removing offending content, restricting features, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting unlawful activities to the relevant authorities.

6. sharing, privacy controls and visibility

in its initial release, mealtickt does not provide in-app sharing of meals, recipes or achievements with other users. in the future, we may allow voluntary sharing (e.g., to your own instagram account). any such feature will require your explicit action and consent before any sharing takes place.

7. user content and licence

you may contribute content to the service, including information about your profile, recipes, notes, or other submissions. you retain ownership of the content you provide. however, by submitting such content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display it as necessary to operate, provide, and improve the service and the features you choose to use.

you represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you provide and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties or applicable law. we do not claim ownership of your content, but we may remove or disable any material that we reasonably believe violates these terms or the law.

8. intellectual property and app-store terms

all intellectual property rights in the service, including but not limited to the software, algorithms, designs, logos, and trademarks, are owned by polytropic ltd or our licensors. we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the service solely for non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

if you download the app from the apple app store, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and polytropic ltd, not apple. apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.

9. third-party services, integrations and ads

the service may allow you to authenticate via third-party accounts (for example, apple or google) or connect optional health/fitness integrations. these integrations are entirely optional and subject to your express permissions, and those third parties' own terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

we may display third-party content or advertisements. for targeted advertising, we will only process data with your consent where required by law and as described in our privacy policy. you can withdraw consent at any time through in-app settings or device controls.

10. ai wellness features and non-medical disclaimer

mealtickt incorporates two types of personalisation: (a) non-ai, rule-based plan generation for all users (free and premium) using a proprietary closed-form algorithm that tailors a plan based on your inputs, and (b) optional ai-powered features for premium users (e.g., adaptive plan adjustments, ai chat/coach, recipe swaps).

the service is not regulated as a medical device and should never replace professional medical guidance. use discretion before relying on or otherwise using content provided by the service. don't rely on the service for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice; any content regarding those topics is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

11. medical safety acknowledgment

by using mealtickt, you acknowledge that wellness and nutrition activities carry inherent risks. you are responsible for ensuring that any activities, plans, or recommendations are suitable for your personal circumstances. the service is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

if you have, or suspect you have, a medical condition (including pregnancy, food allergies, an eating disorder, or chronic illness), you should consult a qualified healthcare professional before using the service. if you feel unwell or experience adverse symptoms, stop using the service and seek medical advice immediately.

12. warranty disclaimer

the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and representations, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

13. limitation of liability

to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service.

our total aggregate liability for direct damages arising under these terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

14. termination

you may terminate your account at any time by ceasing to use the service and cancelling any active subscriptions (via your app-store account settings, where applicable). we may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms, misuse the service, fail to pay applicable fees, or if continued provision of the service is no longer commercially viable.

15. changes to the service and terms

we may enhance, modify, or discontinue parts of the service at any time to improve functionality or for operational reasons. we may also revise these terms from time to time. where changes are likely to have a material impact on your rights or obligations, we will provide advance notice by reasonable means (for example, via in-app notice or email).

16. electronic communications

by using the service, you consent to receive service-related communications (for example, account notices, security notifications, and transactional messages). where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending marketing communications, and you may withdraw consent at any time via in-app settings or the unsubscribe mechanism provided.

17. feedback

if you submit comments, ideas, or suggestions about the service ("feedback"), you grant mealtickt a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate the feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

18. governing law and disputes

these terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence within the eu or uk. the courts of cyprus shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service.

19. severability, waiver and force majeure

if any provision of these terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. no failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.
